Gross Anatomy
Carlos A. Suárez-Quian, Ph.D.
Emeritus Professor, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular & Cellular Biology

[Why]
Gross anatomy is the foundational science of medicine and allied health. Understanding all biological processes and all their variations begins with recognizing normal structures within the human body.
[Organization]
Mastering human anatomy best occurs when organized into the six common areas taught in medicine and allied health fields: thorax, abdomen, pelvis and perineum, back and upper limb, lower limb, and head and neck.
[Content]
I’ve prepared the macroscopic anatomy of each region for you in comprehensive yet manageable lectures suitable for the scientific beginner, as well as experienced practitioners who seek an efficient review. In addition, I include brief, image-based cadaveric dissection summaries to prepare for the laboratory and/or to have a virtual experience. Over 100 imaged-based questions are available for users seeking mastery of the material via self-testing.
